These modem-like adaptors let you run internet or ethernet on top of an ordinary voice phone line simultaneously and without interference over a range of up to 2000 feet. They are perfect for dorms, apartments, motels, trailer parks, for HPNA home phone networking, or anywhere else you want to avoid extensive rewiring.

No special MDU front end hardware or software is needed! Your minimum system consists of two adaptors and an existing phone line. An ISP customer of ours confirms a 537 KB data rate when fed from a T1 source. The max LongRun data rate specs out at 1000K. Several other buyers verify these work extremely well.
Still sealed in original and clean factory packaging. From a telecom bankruptcy. Includes LR-2000T, wall wart, docs, warranty card, and two cables. Factory current production list price is believed to be approximately $279 each.

As near as we can tell, "HomeRun" is Tut's tradename for a fully HPNA 1.0 compatible system, while "LongRun" is a higher power and longer distance version tradename of the same. Apparently 25 devices can be networked on one phone line directly, and many hundreds using additional hubs or routers. And 1.0 is more than fast enough for Internet and most home networking uses. Please verify these details for yourself using our provided links.
A few of these plus a router or hub should be able to eliminate most of an outrageously expensive MDU multiple dwelling unit front end for budget sensitive apartments, trailer parks, dorms, industrial parks, and such.
But note that these do NOT let you simultaneously ~receive~ 56K Internet and voice over a single telco voice grade phone number! Somewhere on premises, a separate Internet source has to be provided from a different phone number, DSL, T1, wireless, satellite, or wherever.
